A Brand New Airport: Çukurova!

Located in a strategic location in the southeast of Türkiye, Çukurova Airport (COV) serves an extensive area covering major cities such as Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye and Hatay.

Çukurova Airport has a capacity of 9 million passengers and stands out with its runway where the wide-body aircrafts can land. With the opening of the airport, all scheduled flights from Adana Şakirpaşa Airport (ADA) have been shifted to here.

Starting from 2023, scheduled and charter flights will be carried out from Çukurova Airport to important international destinations including London, Berlin, Doha and Amsterdam. Leading airlines such as Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, AJet, SunExpress, Corendon, Qatar Airways and Aeroflot operate at this airport. In addition, thanks to its proximity to Mersin Port, it offers great advantages in terms of international trade and logistics.

New Target for Passenger Traffic

Çukurova Airport (COV) is preparing to take over Adana Şakirpaşa Airport (ADA) and play an important role in Turkey’s aviation sector in order to meet the increasing demand for regional and international flights. Adana Sakirpasa Airport, which hosted 3.9 million passengers in 2022, being the 8th busiest airport in Turkey. In 2023, it went up to 7th place by serving 4.7 million passengers with a 22% increase. Çukurova Airport aims to continue this momentum and further increase passenger traffic in the coming years with its increasing capacity, advanced infrastructure and expanded service area.

Rapid Growth in International Traffic

Çukurova Airport will serve the goal to significantly increase international traffic as well. Adana Şakirpaşa Airport (ADA) served 645 thousand international passengers in 2022. In 2023, this figure increased by 37% and reached 883 thousand. In 2024, flights scheduled to 8 domestic and 17 international destinations from Çukurova Airport (COV). This expansion strategy will play a critical role in strengthening both regional and international connections. The airport aims to be one of the most important aviation centers in the region with its modern infrastructure and advanced services.
